Midthunder is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine tribe. She spent most of her childhood within Santa Fe where her mother employed in a casting business and she attended at the Academy for Technology and the Classics. Amber is Native American from her father's family tree, is part of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber was adopted to an adoptive mother which means that Amber is not of known mixed heritage.
